Working with the Media Workshop.

Circle of Ten invites community-based and faith-based agencies, local schools and businesses to this workshop in Tyler on July 22, 2008 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Media professional Jeff Crilleyand east Texas media representatives will discuss "How to Get the Word Out" about your organization via print, radio, television, and Internet media.

Kathy Holdway, President A Circle of Ten, Inc., Pam Anderson, C10 Director of Outreach, Georgia Shaw, VISTA Regional Coordinator for Rural Community Building Initiative, Barbara Dawson, Training Coordinator and Jeffrey Lee Basehore, Architecture Construction attended the Texas A&M University-Energy Systems Laboratory's Clean Air Through Energy Efficiency: Shaping Our Future Together conference in San Antonio.   RCBI Leaders heard from top experts on the current status of efforts to achieve optimum results in energy efficiency and clean air attainment.  These leaders are working to implement a Department of Energy, Rebuild America grant to "integrate energy efficient, renewable energies technologies" into workforce, education and building affordable housing and community sites.

Families have been selected for more than 50% of the children represented by East Texas Heart Gallery, which reminds that April is Child Abuse Prevention Month and May is Foster Care Awareness Month. The group also has a new PSA and is working on a 16-page full color Heart Gallery book that highlights the hardest of the hard-to-place kids.
